1978, at age 16 Steve Boyley is already helping people overcome fears and phobias when the local paper takes notice.
After hearing a biology teacher get the facts wrong and scare students even more, Steve had to do something about it. During high school, he regularly taught grade 12 biology class students about snakes and other reptiles while the teachers looked on. The schools restricted his talks to grade 12 because some of the students in junior classes were small enough for one of the snakes to eat!
