The Mediterranean is a fantastic part of the world and Malta is one of the most fantastic places. Evidence of human settlement on Malta dates back more than 8000 years! There is no mention however, of how people managed to cross vast ocean to get to the island. Getting there is easy today, there are daily flights from all major airports in Europe.
